Before my big trip to New Zealand I had a 24 hour long layover in Singapore, so this time a bit less reading. I arrived at the airport quite early in the morning, but because of the heavy monsoon it was not the best idea to do some sightseeing. Luckily the rain stopped not much later and it was time to go! I heard about a water and lightshow close to the big and famous Marina Bay Sands hotel. It was pretty spectacular. After a night full of walking it was time for a drink and eventually it was bedtime.
The next day my flight was around 7 p.m. so I had plenty of time to discover the city more. In the morning it was time to take a look at Singapore’s Chinatown which always is interesting. All the different temples where pretty cool and what is a better way to finish loads of steps with a visit to a food hall. It was not easy to choose from all the different Asian cuisines. But in the end, the Indonesians won this battle.
Later that day I still had some time to explore a bit more. So far I really thought there was no trash and every building was tall. Also I didn’t see the cops, until I walked to little India. I have never been to India but now I can imagine how it is over there. After the perfectly clean city center I really enjoyed the chaotic part. After dinner it was time to go to the airport and there I tried to find the big aquarium, but sadly I was at the wrong terminal. Bye Singapore!
